Resolutions

Resolution 2011: live more intentionally.
____________________________________________________________

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

a) Project 365. One photo every day. To remind me that each day contains something special. Something worth recording.

1.1.11
Welcoming the New Year with dear friends!

1.4.11Beautiful sunset over the city.

b) Recycle. I'm ashamed to say that, no, we don't recycle. And no, I have no great excuse. (Is there ever a good excuse, really?) We did for a short time when our neighborhood first started recycle pick-up, but quit because we didn't have a functioning "system" for our house. My only (very poor) excuse is lack of space... (I'm still horribly ashamed, for the record.)
Lucky for us (and my conscience), I've found lots of inspiration! I just know one of these will work for us...

I think that "living intentionally" also means taking responsibility for the "treasures" around me... the earth. I hope that we'll become more aware of our footprint this year.
c) Start an herb garden. I bet there's nothing better than making dinner for hubby, stepping outside to your garden, and snipping a few basil leaves for flavor. I can't wait!

2011,
I hope you'll teach me to live intentionally.
I hope you'll make me more conscious of the treasures around me.
We're off to a good start so far. I can't wait to get to know you a little better.

  1. being intentional.
    it matters.
you already do a fantastic job so I can't imagine what a whole year of really focusing on it will do for you...and those around you!
